Today is Tristan's 16th birthday and I can hardly believe it! He was my "baby" for so long, but his 15th year was THE ONE. You parents know what I mean. The one where they shoot up 8 inches in one year and suddenly look more like an adult than a child. Luckily for me, Tristan's personality made the switch as well. Suddenly, he is more responsible for his schoolwork, is more respectful, and does things for me without me having to ask him.
Of course, all of this is probably because he wants to get his license. ;)

Happy Birthday Tristan!
K is turning 16 in June and even though we've established that no child in our home will get their license before they turn 17, she's already chomping at the bit to get the process going. Which makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it. Does having one kid already driving make it easier to imagine number 2 behind the wheel?
