My boys have been blessed to go to an amazing school with absolutely amazing kids. We have scrimped and saved and sacrificed to send them there. Better yet, they both LOVE their school! I have teenagers who want to go to school and want to work hard. How lucky am I??
Two days ago, each student got a hand-made bracelet with their name on it. Every single student -- 380+ kids. Someone has been working on them since last September...a student or staff, we don't know. The person wants to remain anonymous.
Everyone loved them. The seniors have decided to wear them to graduation. For the last two days, everyone has worn them to school.
"They are just bracelets," I said, somewhat bewildered. "They are nice and everything, but why are they so special to you? I can't believe everyone is wearing them!"
"Someone at the school worked hard to make them for us," said Trenton. "We are a family. We support each other. We will wear them. "
And that sort of summed up his entire 4 years at this school. I am so thankful that he will have such cherished memories of his time at Cascade Christian High School!

That is so cool! What a neat thing for someone to do, and how great that the seniors recognize what a special gift it is.
That made me all misty-eyed and reminded me of the kind of family that the ICS high school kids were when I worked with them... I miss that... A LOT!! So glad your boys have gotten that experience... it matters!
Wow, how amazing is that, that someone took all that time to make those bracelets? And awesome that the kids appreciated them sooooo much!
