Beautiful
Caden loves the word "beautiful".
"Mom, look at that booteeful dog!" he says, pointing at the ugliest dog I've ever seen.
"Mom, see some booteeful flowers!" he exclaims, bending over to pluck a scraggly weed.
He calls jagged gray rocks beautiful, piles of dirt beautiful, and dead leaves beautiful. I squint, frown and shake my head when he isn't looking.
"You say that word all the time," said Tristan to Caden. "I do not think it means what you think it means," he went on, quoting one of my favorite movies.
The thing of it is that I think Caden DOES know what beautiful means. I think he sees the world through unique eyes.
I wish I could see the world that way. I am going to try. Maybe Caden can help me. :)

He's a beeootiful boy! :)
So sweet! I'd like to borrow Caden's eyes for a day or two.
How's that song go? "Everything is beautiful, in it's own way..."
I think it's awesome Caden appreciates the world so much. And I also love that your son quotes Princess Bride... that particular phrase gets used a rather lot around here too. :)
